If an H.S. official doesn't call a charge and a player is standing under the basket, then he misses it. The H.S. rule book doesn't state that you can't draw a charge from there. Also, if a player hits the ball and it is in the cylinder, then it is basket interference.
I think it is funny that every game in the LPD the losing team gets on here and starts blaming the refs, they didn't call this, they called that, so on and so forth. Did you ever stop to think that the reason so many fouls were called on Coeburn was because they were tired in the fourth? I mean GC subs very regularily keeping fresh guys on the court, and come towards the end of the game people are gonna start reaching a little because they have worked their butts off the previous three quarters. You can blame the refs all you want, but don't act like the refs gave GC the game.
everyone from coeburn that is on here has said that the refs were alright. it is the GC fans that are saying the refs were horrible. I know this probably doesn't register in your mind right since....gate city won

I noticed that GC isn't in that great of shape just from observation. I noticed this in the 4th when coeburn was shooting free throws tha the GC players were bent over breathing hard and tired and the coeburn players stayed upright not showing that they were as tired. Even with the substituting they need to be in better shape. In watching GC twice this year I have not been impressed with them as a team or with their style of play.
They are still the best team in the LPD. But what does that say about LPD basketball this year?
The LPD wont win anything except the LPD tournament and I ain't gonna guarantee that. Coeburn has a decent team but they still don't use their low post like they should. And if GC has that much trouble shooting from outside like they showed against Coeburn then just play a zone against them and let them run themselves to death for nothing.
I agree completely. Both teams are average. GC will win the LPD regular season and LPD tournament. Coeburn will be runner up. Neither will make it out of regionals.
